Fun in the Mud

We are very thankful for the rain we have recently received. So excited that we decided to go all out and enjoy the precious mud it made. Our friend Seth, Jill, Natalie, and Autumn came to join us. I'll let the pictures do most of the explaining...

By the end, the girls were getting a little cold. Also, Bo and Seth decided it would be fun to jump off of the sprinkler into the water. The water was deep enough because of an old tailwater pit. I was just praying there wasn't some pipe in the water we couldn't see. We all had a blast except for Natalie. She was not a huge fan of not being able to see her feet under the water. I really can't blame her when I wore water boots the whole time.

The Wonderful World of Braid

I Can't Believe You Are Three

Today we celebrated your third birthday. You have been waiting for your birthday to get here since Cason celebrated his in November. In January you told me that you wanted to have a tea party for your birthday with chocolate cake (later changed to white) with your best friends Cason, Natalie and Emery. I was shocked that you never changed your mind and stuck with a tea party till the end. So we planned your little party and it couldn't have been more fun (except for the wind). The wind couldn't stop you from having fun and that is what I love so much about you. You live life to the fullest every day. Happy Birthday baby girl! We love you.

The Many Critters We Have Found on the Farm...
1. baby coyote - Bo caught this little gal behind our house in our evergreen trees. She was probably only a couple of weeks old. I missed getting a picture of her. Sorry.
2. horny toad - Braid and Sarge were quite fascinated with him.
3. hognose snake
4. a turtle
5. three baby kittens
6. six baby rabbits

Here are a few pictures for your enjoyment. We have had lots of fun on the farm.

This week we are participating in VBS. Braid is in heaven, loving every minute of it. Kate's world has been turned upside down. Kate starts crying the minute we walk in the door, continues crying through the drop off and then cries when I pick her up as if to say how can you do this to me. We also took the pacifier away on Monday. She has done really well except for nap time. We have actually gotten worse each day so I'm not quite sure what to expect. Needless to say, this has probably been the worst week of her life in her eyes. (Note: Just finishing the blog post and we have now made it to Friday; Kate is doing really well without the pacifier and we can see the light at the end of the tunnel)
